Accessibility statement

Conformance target

We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Conformance is self-assessed during development — the site has not yet had an external accessibility audit. In the same spirit as our verdicts: this is a statement of what we test for under stated assumptions, not a certificate.

What the site does today

• Semantic HTML with landmark regions, a logical heading order, and a declared page language.
• A skip link to the main content, first in the tab order and visible on keyboard focus.
• Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard and shows a visible focus indicator.
• Links and buttons have touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
• Verdicts — Recoverable, At risk, Not recoverable — are triple-encoded as a shape, a colour, and the word itself, so they never rely on colour alone.
• Animation respects the reduced motion preference in your system settings.
• Text colours are checked against WCAG contrast thresholds on both the dark and light surfaces of the site.
• No autoplaying media, flashing content, or time limits.

Known limitations

• The interactive demos render simulation charts. Their verdicts and key numbers are available as text, but some fine-grained plot detail is visual. If you need the underlying numbers for any figure, email us and we will send them.
• We test with a limited set of browsers and assistive technologies. A full assistive-technology test pass is on the roadmap.

If any part of this site is hard to use with your setup, email [email protected] and mention the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within two weeks, and confirmed problems get fixed.
